About this one
Medical grade silicone, three flanges, moulded with a vent that lets pressure equalise instead of trapping it. They keep cold water out of the ear canal, which is what stops the bone growth that swimmers and surfers end up having scraped out.
Vented means you still hear a voice on the bank and a boat behind you. A solid plug is quieter and it is also the reason people stop wearing them, and a plug in a pocket protects nothing.
They are not custom moulded to your ear. One size, three flanges to choose from on the stem, and if none of them seals after a week, send them back rather than swim with one that leaks.
